Why "Brilliant People" can be dangerous. --- a few weeks ago I wrote an article about Genetically modified people. To recap briefly, the geniuses at the pharmaceutical companies had discovered that you have dormant genes (that they say you don't need) that are ripe for their "fixing." They could now safely make you into a genetically modified person! You would be as immune to Flu as is the tin man. But would you have a heart? Another term for this is Frankenstein. (They are already doing this!) In US News & World Report, this month there was an article about "Epigenetics." This New Scientific discovery is that your genes can be turned off and on by your environment. For example: Exercise, good diet, positive thinking can all ALTER your genes so that some become dormant and some active and clear cancer from your body! This can take a sickly person and make them well. In the article, They reported on a 2008 study by Dean Ornish, President of the preventive medicine research institute. In the study, it appeared that positive lifestyle changes caused amazingly good health improvements (decreases of prostate specific antigen scores and diminished tumor activity) for men with prostate cancer! ........ Now if you read my last article about "Genetically Modified People" you will likely become aware that the people who the Pharmaceutical Companies Modified Genetically are likely to be unable to respond in this healthy manner. Would big pharma now say: " Oops! Sorry, eat too much salad and you will die of cancer not get well!"Could that be a possible scenario? I think it could. Don't volunteer to be modified genetically too quickly. After all the Swine and Bird Flu shots must have stopped the plague that never came ..... you can tell by the "marker readings" on the stock market ticker tape..... look how well the pharmaceutical companies did on your tax money from Uncle Sam.

Pandemic Control???

In the Jan 2010 issue of National Geographic there is an article Listed as:

The Big Idea: Pandemic Control. "Hit Them Where They Live."

I do believe this is one of the scariest articles I have ever read. Joseph Mercola warned us about the Swine Flu / Bird Flu epidemic fraud. This makes that look like child's play.

In this article you will see that Big Pharma has now come up with a plan for a new way of preventing Flu and other viral infections, possibly even AIDS. This at first sounds exciting but read what they have thought up that makes FrankenFood seem safe!

Since the Genome has been mapped, Big Pharma, is acting like it knows the consequences of genetic manipulation and in fact like they are now Smarter Than God (or millions of years of evolution if you prefer). Researchers have found that some cells resist viral infection. They believe they can find the gene in the cell that makes it impossible for a virus to use that cell to reproduce.

They "say" that many of our genes are dormant and others only needed in embryological development. Once they know which gene blocks virus activity in our cells, they want to use a "harmless" retrovirus to insert randomly insert itself into DNA. When they then "find" a gene that does not affect our survival, they can target this gene. They will then insert a gene that stops the virus at that spot. Now the has the potential to work. Pfizer has a treatment called Maraviroc, which supposedly works on HIV, which is already in use.

Now I ask you to think this concept through. What we have talked about is this: If the virus cannot be stopped with a injected or a vaccine to create immunity, all we have to do is Genetically Modify The Host ! In this case the host is YOU!

Do we really know as much as God (or millions of years of evolution) regarding how to restructure our genetic cell mechanisms? Is it safe to start changing you from the inside out with nano-machines that alter your very foundations from the inside out? Would you really like to unleash such retrovirus into our environment? Even if we actually knew lots about what we are now able to do genetically, what will happen when we do a few of these in combination? Will you be able to have children and will they look beautiful with eyes under their arm pits and tentacles for arms?

Perhaps I am more ignorant of the dramatic rise in genetic knowledge that decoding the Genome has provided. Maybe the first Frankenstein will be as magnificent as a Greek God. On the other hand, considering the warnings on every drug advertised on TV, I am going to bet this process has LOTS MORE WARNINGS than drugs do.
